Bite Food Festival – #FridayFinds

Yesterday we headed along to the opening day of Bite Food Festival – Dublin’s brand new food festival featuring over 150 of Ireland’s best artisan food and craft drink producers. Right down our street!

Strangely enough we’d only heard about the fest earlier in the week and were amazed that overall people had little to no information on it. We hit up their website and social media pages and alas there wasn’t much to be found. They’ve quite a bare website, an unused Twitter account and a non-existent Instagram account – something you’d really expect at predominately food fest: #FoodPorn. If you’re reading this Bite crew, HIRE US NEXT YEAR! 😉

Back to the good stuff though. There’s everything from fresh meats and cheeses to sauces, oils, health foods and much more. There’s even a small craft beer/cider/wine section that we slowly started to gravitate towards as the day went on. All that eating and walking gets you thirsty!

There is so much on offer here, but some of our highlights from the day were Naturally Cordial, McCormack Family Farms, Bear Market Coffee and The White Hag Brewery.  We’d recommend trying out as many as you can though. Most are honest, small producers and take the time to really delve deep into what their products are all about. It’s really great to see so many high quality food startups on the go here, and Bite is the perfect place to discover something new.

Bite is running from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd of November, so you’ve no excuse to miss it. Get yourself down and check it out!
